Odisha Police arrests 51 people, collects over Rs 24 lakh for violation of COVID guidelines

Bhubaneswar: Both the Union and Odisha governments have issued COVID guidelines for the safety of the general public and control the further spread of the deadly virus. People have been asked time and again to follow the guideline strictly. Different covid enforcement teams are ensuring the implementation of guidelines. However, there are certain people who do not observe the covid norms. Police take action against them.

Odisha police too, registered one case, arrests 51 people and collected over Rs 24 lakh from the COVID guideline violators in the last 24 hours. The cops also seized 659 vehicles from the morning of 02.02.2022 to the morning of 03.02.2022.

“From morning of 02.02.2022 to morning of 03.02.2022, 01 case regd, 51 people arrested, 659 vehicles seized, Rs. 24,35,300/- fine collected by Odisha Police for violation of COVID19 guidelines. The effect of the Corona Virus still continues. We urge all to be careful and be safe,” said the State Police in its Twitter handle.
