Odisha Plus II Science Results Declared

Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha on Monday announced the results of the annual +2 Science examination at Jaydev Bhawan here.

According to the Council, the total pass percentage stands at 72.33  in comparison to last year’s 76.98. Out of the 97,750 students who had appeared for the exam this year, 70,706 have successfully cleared the exam.

20,806 have scored first division whereas 23, 904 students got second division and 25,360 students got third division. Similarly, 636 students are in the compartmental category.

The CHSE informed that Balasore district has recorded the highest pass rate of 86.56 while the lowest pass percentage has been recorded in Gajapati district with 36.20.

9 colleges in the state have registered zero results whereas 29 colleges have registered 100 percent results. Moreover, a total of 60 students have secured above 90 percent this year in comparison to 41 students in the previous year.

Noteworthy, the declaration of +2 Science results, which were held between March 7-30, got delayed this year as the evaluation process was hindered due to large scale damage caused by the extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani, which ravaged coastal Odisha on May 3.
