Bhubaneswar: To the question whether Panchayat polls will be deferred, Odisha Panchayati Raj Minister Pratap Jena on Monday made it clear that so far there is no possibility of deferring the Panchayat Polls by the government.
The minister said that till now, there is no possibility of deferring the Panchayat Polls by the Government.
The State Government has submitted its report to the State Election Commission (SEC) who is likely to announce the dates of the Panchayat Polls very soon, Jena also said.
The minister was asked about the Panchayat Polls while he was in visit to the Haldia Panchayat of Cuttack district today.
