Nilagiri: In an unfortunate incident an elderly lady has died while waiting in the queue to cast her vote in the ongoing Odisha Panchayat polls.
According to reports, the elderly woman was standing in a queue outside booth number -7 in zone 11 of Nilagiri block in Balasore district, when she suddenly collapsed.
The woman has been identified as Satyabhama Barik, she is said to be around 70-years-old.
The woman was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital but, she was declared dead by doctors at hospital.
It is noteworthy that, the fourth phase of the Odisha Panchayat Elections on Tuesday saw 20% voting till 9 am, according to the State Election Commission.
