Balangir: In the phase IV of Odisha Panchayat polls, today polling held in Balangir, Deogan and Gudvela blocks of Balangir district.
In these three blocks for 6 Zilla Parishad seats, 18 candidates have contested. In 64 panchayats 248 Sarpanch candidates are contesting while 198 candidates have joined the poll fray for the Samiti Sabhya posts.
As per reports, in Balangir, Deogan and Gudvela blocks there are 64 panchayats and 760 wards where the total number of voters is 1 lakh 95 thousand 239.
A pink booth has been established in Deogan block. The IV phase panchayat polls ended today in the above blocks of the district amid extensive police security.
