Odisha Panchayat election: 4 officials face action for violating Model Code of Conduct

Jajpur: A total of four government officials were suspended and dismissed on Tuesday for violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) imposed in view of the Odisha Panchayat election.

According to reports, the concerned official suspended Sheikh Mohammed, the teacher of Alakunda Nodal Upper Primary school, and Adhira Barik, the GRS of Haldidiha Panchayat under Binjharpur block of the district for violating the model poll code.

Likewise, two other government servants were dismissed from their jobs for violating the model code of conduct. They have been identified as Sujata Samal, the record keeper of Chanditala panchayat under Badachana block, and Jhunalata Das, the record keeper of Kumari Panchayat under Dharmashala block of Jajpur district.
