Odisha: OSRTC Bus Hits Roadside Tree, 7 Medical Students On Way To Covid Duty Injured

Nayagarh: As many as seven medical students sustained injuries after the bus in which they were traveling in hit a roadside tree near Durga Prasad village under Banigochha police limits of Odisha’s Nayagarh district late last night.

A team of students from SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack was reportedly going to Balangir for Covid duty in a bus of the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC). However, the driver of the vehicle lost control over the wheels following which it hit a roadside tree near Durga Prasad village.

Sources said that at least seven medicos suffered minor injuries while the driver of the bus received critical injuries due to the road accident.

Meanwhile, all of them have been admitted at Daspalla hospital for treatment.
