Odisha: Now Rs 2 thousand penalty for not wearing mask for 1st & 2nd offence

Bhubaneswar: No Mask fine increased to Rs 2000 for the first and second offence and Rs 5000 for the subsequent offence.

Odisha Govt announced about an amendment to the Odisha Covid 19 (Fourth) Regulations, 2020. As per the new regulations, now violators will be penalised with Rs. 2000 (Two thousand) for the first and second offence for not wearing mask.

A notification by the Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department said that in the Odisha Covid 19 Regulations, 2020 in the table under Point-3 of the Notification issued on 31.08. 2020 at coloumn (4) the words “One thousand rupees for the first or second offence and five thousand rupees for subsequent offence” is here by substituted as “Two Thousand rupees for the first or second offence and five thousand rupees for subsequent offence”.

All other terms and conditions laid in the said notification remains unaltered, the notice also said.
