Odisha: NCB seizes 850 kg of ganja from oil tanker in Sambalpur, 6 including 2 women arrested

Sambalpur:  A huge cache of ganja was seized from a TATA oil tanker at Ainthapali Chhak on NH-53 in Sambalpur district and six persons including two women have been arrested in this connection.

The arrested drug dealers have been identified to be from West Bengal.

Acting on a tip-off NCB Sub-Zone conducted intercepted the oil tanker bearing registration number NL-02N-1971 and seized 850 Kg of contraband from the vehicle and apprehended six people from the spot.

Reports said that the contraband was being illegally smuggled from Saluru in Vizianagaram to Rourkela.

An investigation has been initiated into the matter by NCB team.
