Nayagarh: A municipal accountant caught red handed by the Vigilance officer for accepting a bribe of Rs.20, 000 in Nayagarh district of Odisha today.
The accountant has been identified as, Ajaya Kumar Sathua , who works as a municipal accounted in Nayagarh Municpality.
Based on the complainant of one Sri Jagabandhu Sia of Sagadia Sahi of Nayagarh town, the vigilance officers laid a trap and caught him red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 in order to release his security deposit cheque amounting to Rs.89, 953.
The bribe amount was recovered from the accused Ajaya Kumar Sathua’s possession.
