Athagarh: Rajya Sabha MP Munna Khan has met former Odisha Chief Minister Biju Patnaik’s driver Brundaban Maharana, who is leading a poverty-stricken life these days.
A news had been published recently in KNews Odisha that narrated about the present poor condition of Maharana, who was once upon a time the driver of the legendary leader Biju Patnaik.
MP Munna Khan visited Biriput village under Tigiria block in Aathgarh area today and met Maharana. He enquired about Maharana’s health condition and took stock of the wretched thatched house.
The MP has assured him to sanction a house under the Awas Yojana from his MP Fund. He also said that Brundaban will be provided with other assistance and benefits in the coming days.
After meeting MP Munna Khan Brundaban was overwhelmed. He conveyed his gratitude to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik as well as MP Khan for their noble gesture.
