Gajapati: In a big achievement, Police seized more than 21 quintals of Ganja and arrested 26 persons in this connection in Gajapati district of Odisha on Monday.
As per reports, R Udaygiri Police conducted a series of raids today at different places under the Police limits and seized 21 quintals 45 kg and 900 gram Ganja from four places.
Police have arrested 26 persons including 7 women in this connection. Also, the vehicles that were being used for illegal transportation of the contraband have been seized.
The cost of the seized Ganja will be approximately more than Rs 10 crore, Police said.
All the accused persons have been forwarded to the Court and further investigation of the case is underway, informed SDPO Dillip Kumar Nayak.
