Odisha: Minor attacked with sharp weapon & left bloodied

Balasore: In a distressing event, a minor belonging to Bagadasahi of Manatri village of Soro was attacked with a sharp weapon and left in bloodied state at nearby fields on late Saturday night. The incident came to light after his father filed an official complaint with the local police.

The victim has been identified as Parmanand Mallick, son of Baidhar Mallick.

As per reports, Parmananda and his friends were out in fields close to his village to attend nature’s call late last night. Making use of the darkness, miscreants attacked the minor.

The miscreants could not be identified and made an escape. The minor was rushed to Soro hospital for treatment.

However, Baidhar has alleged that certain members of his own village have orchestrated the entire incident due to the previous enmity. He has filed an official complaint accordingly.

Soro police have begun an investigation.
