Odisha: Met Issues Weather Forecast, Warning For Next Five Days; Check Details

Bhubaneswar: The regional Meteorological centre here on Friday issued a weather forecast and warning for the next five days.

The weatherman has issued yellow warning for several districts of the State from March 12 to March 17. Besides, it forecasted light to moderate rain or thundershower for number of districts.

Here are the details:

Day 1 (valid from 1.30 PM of March 12 to 8.30 am of March 13):

                       Forecast: Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Interior Odisha, Nuapada, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Cuttack, Kendrapara and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

                      Warning: Thunderstorms with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundergarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj Nuapada, Balangir, Sonepur, Jajpur, Bhadrak, and Balasore.

Day 2 (valid from 8.30 am of March 13 to 8.30 am of March 14):

                     Forecast: Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of North Coastal Odisha, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Khurda, Nayagarh, Puri, Ganjam and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

                     Warning: Yellow Warning(To be updated) Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul and Dhenkanal.

Day 3 (valid from 8.30 am of March 14 to 8.30 am of March 15):

                     Forecast: Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 4 (valid from 8.30 am of March 15 to 8.30 am of March 16):

                     Forecast: Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 5 (valid from 8.30 am of March 16 to 8.30 am of March 17):

                     Forecast: Dry weather most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Temperature Forecast: Both maximum temperature (Day temperature) and minimum temperature (Night temperature) likely to fall slightly by around 2 0C at many places over the districts of Odisha during the next 48 hours and it will again rise thereafter by 2-3 0C over the districts of the State.

Forecast for Bhubaneswar and neighbourhood valid for the next 24 hours: Partly cloudy sky. Maximum and Minimum temperature very likely to be around 35°C and 23°C respectively.
