Odisha Matric Supplementary Exam In Last Week Of June

Bhubaneswar: The supplementary examination for the annual matriculation (Class-X) exams conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha will be held in the last week of June, informed board officials.

“To enable students who have either failed to appear in the annual Matric examination or those who have failed in one subject, we have decided to conduct the supplementary examination in the last week of June so that they can take admission into Plus II streams,” BSE president Jahan Ara Begum said on Tuesday.

The BSE President also informed that re-evaluation of matric papers will start from May 24. Students who want to re-evaluate their papers can apply online through the official website of the BSE (www.bseodisha.nic.in and www.bseodisha.ac.in) within 10 days.

Noteworthy, out of 5,62, 213 who had appeared for the exams this year, a total of 3,97,125 passed with the pass percentage witnessing a sharp decrease as compared to that of the last year. In comparison to last year’s 76.23%, the pass percentage in 2019 has dropped to 70.78%.

The girls have outperformed the boys this year also with 1,91,655 male and 2,05,470 females passing the Matric Examinations. The grade break up of the pass candidates is, A1- 1181, A2- 9938, B1- 24991, B2- 46319, C- 76319, D-116262, E-122062, F-163954.
