Odisha Matric Exam 2022 begins today

Bhubaneswar: The annual matric examination 2022 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has begun today. The Summative Assesment-2 (SA-2) will conclude on May 7, 2022.

Reportedly, the exams is being conducted between 8 AM and 10 AM. However, the Mathematics paper will continue till 10.15 AM.

A total of 5,71,909 students will be appearing in the High School Certificate (HSC) examination this year at 3,203 centres across the State.

As many as 4,443 and 9,378 students will appear for the Madhyama examination and the State Open School Certificate (SOSC) examination respectively. The BSE has set 122 centres for the Madhyama examination.

It is pertinent to mention that the results for the Summative Assessment-2 exam will be published based on three-tier evaluation criteria fixed by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha. The three-tier evaluation will include the following:

  • The weightage of Summative Assessment 1 and Internal Assessment will be doubled
  • The weightage of Summative Assessment 2 will be doubled
  • 20% of Internal Assessment, 30% of SA-1, 50% of SA-2

The highest score secured by a student in any one of the three methods will be taken as the final mark.
