56-year-old MLA Angada Kanhar appears for Odisha matric exam 2022

Phulbani: Fifty-six-year-old MLA Angada Kanhar from Odisha’s Phulbani, Angada Kanhar appeared for the Class X annual examinations that began from today.

The lawmakers from the Phulbani constituency appeared for the examination at the Rujangi High School in Pitabari village of the Kandhamal district. Other 67 candidates also wrote the Higher Secondary Education exam at the same exam centre. Over 5.8 lakh students are appearing for the Class X state board examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha. The exam will conclude on May 7, 2022.

While speaking to the media persons, Kanhar said that his studies got discontinued in the 1980s as he could not appear for the examination due to various family issues.

It is to be noted here that Kanhar is a farmer by profession and he successfully contested the 2019 Assembly election from the Phulbani constituency on a BJD ticket. This is the first time that he contested the Assembly election.
