Odisha Matric Exam-2018 Results declared, 76.23% students pass

Cuttack: School and Mass Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra on Monday declared the results of the annual Matric examination with 76.23% pass percentage.

Patra announced the results at Board of Secondary Education (BSE) at 9 AM in the presence of School and Mass Education Secretary Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra and BSE President Jahanara Begum  and other officials.

As many as 1,715 students have scored A1 while 15,689 students have scored A2.

Likewise 39,252 candidates have scored B1 and 68,009 students have scored B2.

While 429 schools have registered 100% results, none of the students passed in 36 schools.

Balasore district recorded the highest 88.15 % pass rate while Malkangiri reported the lowest at 59.32%.

Patra informed that girls outshone boys in the results. Total 21,7666 girl students clear the examination as compared to 21,0129 boys.

Students can check their scores online by logging on to – http://orissaresults.nic.in and  http://www.bseodisha.nic.in  – from 12 PM onwards. They can also get their results through SMS.

Students can type – OR10 give space and then type their own roll numbers and send it to 5676750 to get their results through SMS.

The annual High School Certificate Examinations (HSCE) was held between February 23 and March 8. As many as 5,90,363 students had appeared the examinations in 2818 exam centres.

The BSE had engaged 13,285 teachers for the evaluation of the answer sheets which began in 57 centres across the state on March 20.
