Cuttack: Due to a family dispute, a man hacked his wife to death at their residence in Malabiharpur under Banki police limits of Cuttack on Tuesday.
The victim has been identified as Mami Khatua and the accused husband as Ramesh aka Nanda Dehury.
As per reports, Ramesh and Mami had a fight regarding some family matter. Agitated, Ramesh attacked Mami with a sharp weapon which resulted in her death. Mami’s brother, one Krupasindhu Jena, attempted to intervene who was then attacked and injured by Ramesh.
Accused Ramesh is being held at Banki police station for questioning.
An investigation has been initiated in this matter.
