Dhenkanal: A bike and a truck have been running with the same registration number for the last 15 years in Dhenkanal district of Odisha and Jagdalpur city of Chhattisgarh respectively.
Kabichandra Behera, a resident of Radhakrishna Bazaar in Dhenkanal district, had bought his bike in 2005. The bike was registered at Dhenkanal Regional Transport Office (RTO) bearing registration number OR 06 F 7251.
The incident came to light when Kabichandra had gone to Dhenkanal (RTO) to renew his vehicle registration certificate on February 2020.
His vehicle registration certificate could not be renewed as a truck was registered with the same registration number in Chhattisgarh.
The Department of Transport is yet to give any statement regarding this matter.
