Odisha: Man cheats wife day before Savitri Brata, gets engaged to another woman
Bharatpur Police in Bhubaneswar arrested a man on charges of cheating his wife and planning to marry another woman.
Bhubaneswar: At a time when his wife was making all arrangements to observe the Savitri Brata for him and keep fast and pray for his long life, shockingly the man was planning to marry another woman a day before the Savitri Brata. He was arrested by police on charges of cheating his wife. The accused has been identified as Bibhu Nayak.
Bibhu was living in Pandakudia area of Bhubaneswar for the last three years following his love marriage with a woman. However, he was allegedly getting engaged to another woman yesterday.
Bibhu’s wife filed a complaint in this regard at Bharatpur Police Station. Based on her complaint, cops arrested Bibhu while he was getting engaged to another woman at a temple, said sources.
The accused was forwarded to the court after a medical examination, added the sources.
