Balasore: Half burnt body of a man was today found from a closed room in Sinduri under Balasore Sadar police station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Kusa Bharati while his wife Satyabati was rescued with serious burn injuries.
Locals said that they rushed to the house of the couple after they heard their screams. “The house was on fire and we immediately informed the police and fire tender. Fire personnel doused the fire and rescued the couple,” said a local.
Police suspect short circuit behind the fire mishap. “ We have started an investigation into the incident,” said a police official.
