Odisha: Man Arrested For Killing Two Mentally Unstable Persons In Paradip

Paradip: Police last night arrested a 30-year-old man for allegedly killing to mentally unstable men at Sector 21 Market Complex under Pardeep Marine police limits on June 30.

Police said that both the victims were homeless people taking shelter at the market complex. Police said that the accused identified as Siba Charan Behera killed both of them after an argument.

“Behera a driver by profession has been staying in the area for the past ten years. He has a habit of teasing people in an intoxicated condition. On that day Behera teased both the victims and when they protested, Behera assaulted both of them with bricks,” said a police official.

Police also said that while one of the victims died on the spot, another victim ran for his life. “Behera chased him for around 200 meters and also killed him. The identity of the deceased is yet to be identified,” added the police official.
