Odisha likely to reach 2 lakh total COVID positive cases today

Bhubaneswar: Odisha likely to reach the two-lakh benchmark of COVID positive cases today. The State is reporting more than 4000 positive cases each day for the last two weeks.

Number of the positive cases is soaring high as the testing capacity has been increased by the State government.

According to reports, in the last 14-days, Odisha has done more tests per million per day than Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Assam and Chhattisgarh.

The report further revealed that Odisha’s case fatality rate 0.38% lowest in the country while the recovery rate 81%.

With 52,882 Covid tests done in Odisha yesterday, the total tests in State crossed 30-lakh and the positivity rate is 6.66% (till yesterday).
