Cuttack: Orissa High Court Bar Association on Monday announced to intensify it agitation over lawyers-police spat in Cuttack.
Orissa High Court Bar Association president Srikant Nayak in a press meet, informed that the agitating lawyers will continue their cease-work stir and stage demonstrations in front of all government offices in Cuttack tomorrow. Besides, they will gherao Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s resident in Bhubaneswar on Thursday to press their demand.
Though Cuttack DCP Akhileswar Singh had suspended two Constables and a Havildar who were involved in the attack of a lawyer near Nua Bazaar bridge here on August 28, the agitating lawyers are demanding arrest of the cops.
This apart, they are also demanding an impartial inquiry into the matter by a senior police official.
