Bhubaneswar: A notice by Home Department of Government of Odisha stated “Shri Arun Kumar Ray, IPS(RR-1988) Special D.G. of Police, Communication, Odisha is allowed to remain in additional charge of D.G, Fire Services, Commandant General, Home Guards and Director Civil Defence, Odisha, Cuttack in addition to his own duties.”
1988-batch IPS Arun Kumar Ray will remain in additional charge of DG Fire Services, Commandant General, Home Guards and Director Civil Defence.
Reportedly, IPS officer M Akhaya, who was holding the post of DG Fire Services Commandant General, Home Guards and Director Civil Defence, retired on Tuesday. M Akhaya also belonged to 1988 batch.
Earlier in 2020, effecting a reshuffle at the IPS officers’ level Odisha government posted IPS Arun Kumar Ray as ADGP, Communication, Odisha Police.
