Odisha Cyclone: International Sand Art Festival In Konark Cancelled Midway

Konark: The Konark Festival and International Sand Art Festival 2021 has been cancelled by the district administration.

The event showcases the best of India’s traditional and classical dance forms, besides offering interesting insights into the rich cultural heritage of the country.

The internationally appreciated and awaited Konark Festival has been stopped midway in view of the cyclone forecast.

The decision to cancel the event was taken by the Odisha Tourism department and the Puri district administration.

The festival which began on December 2 was scheduled to continue till December 5 2021.

The 32nd edition of the Konark Festival was being organized by Odisha Tourism. The events were scheduled to be held in the open-air auditorium in the evening.
