Odisha: Illegal cattle smuggling bid foiled, Over 30 cattle rescued, 3 detained

10 cattle were rescued by the Karanjia police near the Chadheibhola area in Mayurbhanj, while Turumunga police rescues 22 cattle in Keonjhar.

Bhubaneswar: The Karanjia and Turumunga police have foiled an illegal cattle smuggling bid on Sunday. A total of 32 cattle have been rescued by the police from two different places. Out of which, 10 cattle were rescued by the Karanjia police near the Chadheibhola area in Mayurbhanj district, while Turumunga police rescues 22 cattle form near Baitarani bridge of Keonjhar district.

According to sources, the police have also detained 3 persons involved in the smuggling and seized the container used to smuggle the cattle.
