Puri: Holi, the festival of colours was observed in famous Lord Jagannath temple in Puri of Odisha on March 19, 2022. On the occasion of Chaitra Krushna Pratipada tithi yesterday the pious Holi festival was observed at Srimandira.
After completion of Madhyanna Dhupa and Dakhini Ghara Bhoga rituals Goddess Sri Devi, Bhu Devi and Lord Dola Govinda were carried into the sanctum sanctorum and received the ‘Agyanmala’ of Mahaprabhu.
Later, they were carried to the palanquin place near the Jhulana Mandapa. Then, they were established on the palanquin and the palanquin was carried to the Narendra Chakada where various rituals were performed.
Following completion of the rituals there, the three deities were carried back to the Srimandira.
