Odisha Heat Wave: Titlagarh Boils At 45 Degree Celsius

Bhubaneswar: Heat wave conditions continued to wreak havoc in the state, with as many as 14 places recording a temperature of more than 40 degree Celsius on Saturday.

Titlagarh became the hottest place in the state where the mercury soared to 45 degree Celsius yesterday.

The other towns which recorded a day temperature above 40 degree Celsius are- Jharsuguda (43.0), Sambalpur (42.7) Sundargarh (42.0), Hirakud (42.0), Bhawanipatna (42.6), Bolangir (43.5), Phulbani (41.6), Talcher (43.3), Sonepur (43.2), Angul (42.7), Malkangiri (42.5), Chandbali (40.7) and Keonjhar (40.3).

The IMD has forecasted that intense heat wave conditions in the state will prevail till April 30. Rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning may also occur during this period.
