Odisha Heat Wave: Temp Crosses 40 Degree Mark in 10 Places, Titlagarh Hottest At 44.2

Bhubaneswar: Intense heat wave conditions continued to wreak havoc in parts of Odisha on Friday as the mercury soared above 40 degrees Celsius in ten places in the state.

Titlagarh became the hottest place in the state with a maximum day temperature of 44.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Sambalpur (43.9), Jharsuguda (43.5), Hirakud (43.8) and Talcher (43.7).

The twin city of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded a temperature of 37.7 and 37.2 degrees Celsius respectively on Friday.

The regional MeT department said heat wave condition is likely to prevail in some parts of the state over the next couple of days.
