Odisha Havildar-Sepoy-Constable Mahasangh to stage strike from tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Pressing the government to fulfil their pending demands, the Odisha Police Havildar, Constable and Sepoy Mahasangh has threatened to go on a strike from tomorrow.

Around 72,000 employees of Odisha Police will stage a protest from tomorrow and withdraw as PSOs for several VIPs, informed the Mahasangh to media yesterday.

Ahead of the strike the Havildar, Constable and Sepoy Mahasangha did their duty by wearing black badges as a mark of protest today, to which the Odisha Police Service Association (OPSA) and Odisha Police Association (OPA) extended their support.

The agitating police officials are demanding the abolition of contractual employment, increase in special diet allowance, mobility allowance, washing allowance, health insurance to havildars, constables and sepoys along with 13th-month salary hike.
