Odisha Govt To Set Up Camps At Blocks For PUC And DL

Bhubaneswar: Transport department has decided to set up camps in blocks and subdivisions for issuing vehicle-related documents in the wake of implementation of amended MV Act.

State transport Minister Padmanabh Behera said that pollution testing of vehicles will also be conducted in these camps. “These camps will be held to facilitate the issuance of learning driving licences. These camps will be helpful for people of rural areas to obtain vehicle-related documents,” said Behera.

Earlier the state government had announced partial relaxation for the commuters from paying fine for violation of traffic rules for three months. The amended MV Act was implemented in the state on September 1.
