Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha has set a target of procuring 37 lakh metric tonnes (MT) of rice this year, informed Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi on Monday.
The government will procure 55 lakh MT of paddy from farmers across the state in the ongoing financial year, he added.
The Kharif paddy procurement will be held between November 2018 to April 2019, while the Rabi paddy will be procured between May and June next year.
