Odisha Govt Signs MoU With AIIMS, Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AIIMS-Bhubaneswar to extend quality healthcare services for economically-backward patients under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY).
The hospital signed the MoU with the state health and family welfare department in the presence of state health minister Naba Kishore Das, secretary Pramod Kumar Meherda and AIIMS-Bhubaneswar director Gitanjali Batmanabane.
Health department officials said that AIIMS-Bhubaneswar will from now onwards provide free treatment to needy patients under the BSKY. Chief minister Naveen Patnaik had launched the scheme in August 2018.
“Under the scheme 196 private hospitals have been empanelled and today AIIMS Bhubaneswar has been added to this. We have also asked the private hospitals empanelled under the scheme to furnish monthly reports of patients availing the scheme,” said Das.
Das today also attended a meeting with the management of private hospitals and discussed about BSKY.
