Odisha Govt Issues Premature Retirement Order Against Two Employees

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has issued premature retirement order to Basanta Kumar Behera the former Regional Transport Officer (RTO) of Dhenkanal and Dilip Kumar Nag the former deputy commissioner Excise Northern Division in Sambalpur under the premature retirement plan.

As per reports both the employees were facing serious corruption charges. While Behera was booked by Vigilance in 2018 for amassing properties disproportionate to his income, Nag was also booked on similar charges in 2012.

Officials said the properties worth Rs 3.61 crore was unearthed from the possession of Behera and his family members, properties worth Rs 1.15 crore was found from the possession of Nag. Vigilance had also seized cash worth Rs 47.5 lakh from the house of Nag which was the second highest seizure of cash from the house of a government employee.
