Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday extended the grace period for payment of Motor Vehicle Tax/Additional Tax of Goods carriages for the quarter January to March 2022 till February 28, 2022.
“Due to situation arising out of the Covid-19 pandemic, the vehicle owners are not able to pay Motor Vehicle tax and additional tax for the quarter January-March 2022 in cases of goods carriages within the grace period. Considering difficulties, the Government have been pleased to extend the grace period for payment of Motor Vehicle Tax/additional tax of those good carriages for the quarter January-March 2022 in respect of goods vehicles till February 28, 2022,” the State Commerce and Transport (Transport) Department said in a notification.
With the extension of grace period, the vehicle owners know will be able to pay tax without any fine.
