Sambalpur: Odisha Vigilance conducted a raid on properties associated with the Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) of Gram Panchayat Office, Jhankarpali in Sambalpur district on Monday morning the allegation of accumulation of disproportionate assets.
The Panchayat Executive Officer (PEO) has been identified as Achutananda Khuntia.
Reportedly, the vigilance sleuths conducted raid at four places including his residential building located at Maulibandhpada, Kuchinda in Sambalpur, Parental house located at Subarnapali Sambalpur, three stalls of Khuntia located at Subarnapali, office chamber of Khuntia located at Jhankarpali on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Sambalpur.
Simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by two DSPs., three inspectors, two ASIs, and other staff.
Further investigation regarding the vigilance raid is underway, details awaited.
