Odisha Govt employee in vigilance net

Cuttack: Odisha Vigilance conducted a raid on properties associated with the Sepoy,6th Odisha Special Armed Police in Cuttack on Tuesday morning the allegation of accumulation of disproportionate assets. The Sepoy has been identified as Sahadev Parida.

Reportedly, the vigilance sleuths conducted a raid at five places including his official residential quarter number E/ 5 at 6th OSAP, three storyed building at Tinigharia Chhak in Cuttack, one asbestos house at Gandarpur in Cuttack, his paternal house at Chandanpur in Puri, and father-in-law’s house at Malatipatpur in Puri on the strength of search warrants issued by the Honorable Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack.

Simultaneous house searches are being conducted by a five-membered Odisha Vigilance team. The sleuths have unearthed cash worth Rs.2,94,600.00, four two-wheelers, four plots, gold and silver jewelry, one building, and 17 Bank passbooks so far.

Further investigation regarding the vigilance raid is underway, details awaited.
