Bhubaneswar: Odisha police have arrested a State Government employee on Monday from Phulabani for allegedly running a prostitution racket here, which was busted last night.
Ganesh Acharya, a VLW of Agriculture office in Tickabali of Kandhamal district in the state, was arrested for allegedly running the sex racket under the guise of an ayurvedic spa in the Nayapalli area in the State Capital.
Thirty year old Acharya has been the proprietor of the spa.
Last night, the Nayapalli police arrested four youths and rescued four sex workers during a surprise raid on Ganesh Ayurvedic Spa.
The police have also seized condoms, mobile phones, hard cash, gold ornaments and several objectionable items during the raid.
A case has been registered at Nayapalli Police Station in this connection.
