Odisha govt effects IAS reshuffle today

Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha on Saturday carried out a minor bureaucratic reshuffle in the state administration ahead of 2019 polls.

According to a General Administration notification,  District Collector of Sambalpur Samrath Verma (IAS)  has been appointed as the Commissioner of the  Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) here. Subham Saxena (IAS), at present Commissioner of BMC, will replace Verma in Sambalpur.

Anil Kumar Samal (IAS), who was Angul district collector, has been appointed as Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Central Division).

Jagatsinghpur district collector Yamini Sarangi (IAS) is appointed as Health and Family Welfare department joint secretary, while Rayagada district collector Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar (IAS) will take charge as Jagatsinghpur collector.

Pramod Kumar Behera (IAS), currently posted as private secretary to Steel and Mines Minister, has been transferred as Rayagada Collector.

Jharsuguda collector Bibhuti Bhusan Patnaik (IAS) has been appointed as Tourism Director replacing Archana Patnaik, who was given additional responsibility as Tourism Director.

Bibhuti Bhusan Das (OAS), Health and Family Welfare additional secretary has been appointed as Jharsuguda collector.

Manoj Kumar Mohanty (OAS), at present working as Secretary, BDA has been given the charge of Angul collector.
