Odisha Govt disengages Panda Infra from Jatani flyover construction

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Wednesday decided to disengage Panda Infra Private Ltd from the construction of the flyover at Jatani in Khorda district with immediate effect.

The decision came after a series of allegations were reported about poor quality of work being carried out by the private company in construction of the bridge.

On August 9, a 5×5 feet iron plate along with construction materials was ollapsed from the under construction flyover in Jatani.

Notably, Panda Infra Private Ltd has also taken the construction of Bomikhal flyover in the city that had taken two lives and left several others injured in separate incidents of mishaps in last two years. It has already missed its deadline to complete the said flyover.
