Odisha govt disburses Rs 2552.64 Cr to 5105290 farmers under KALIA Yojana

Bhubaneswar: Agriculture minister Arun Sahoo on Wednesday informed the state Assembly that the Naveen Patnaik government has disbursed Rs 2552.64 crore to 51,05,290 farmers under KALIA Yojana.

Out of the total beneficiaries, 45,965 have been identified as ineligible. The government is taking steps to recover the money from them, he informed.

In a written reply, the Minister informed that 51,05,290 beneficiaries including 36,34,710 small & marginal farmers and 14,70,580 landless  were enrolled in the KALIA Yojana first installment.

Rs 5000 cash assistance was deposited in the accounts of the farmers between January 2019 and May 2019, said the minister.
