Odisha Govt announces ‘Sarbakhyama Yojana’ to regularise unauthorised urban constructions

Bhubaneswar: The Naveen Government on Wednesday announced ‘Sarbakhyama Yojana’ or ‘Amnesty scheme’ aiming to regularise unauthorised buildings and establishments in urban areas across Odisha.

People can apply for regularisation of their unauthorised constructions with certain conditions, said Housing and Urban Development Minister Niranjan Pujari while announcing the scheme here this afternoon.

“The ‘Amnesty Scheme’ or ‘Sarbakhyama Yojana’ intends to give an opportunity to every citizen for regularising unauthorised construction undertaken within the Development area concerned, prior to the date of the commencement of the scheme, by way of compounding on payment of fees at the rates prescribed in the scheme, so as to bring it into the fold of authorised development”, said Pujari.

Owners of unauthorised building can apply for regularisation by submitting a specific application form to their respective development authorities.
