Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal on Thursday termed Kalinga Institute of Social Science (KISS), a fully free residential home for over 27,000 tribal children, as “a flyover from India to Bharat”.

Addressing the students and staff of the institute on the occasion of its first foundation day in KISS campus, Prof. Ganeshi Lal said, “KISS is a flyover from India to Bharat. It’s Loving those who were never loved, respecting those who were never respected, reaching the unreached and funding the Unfunded.

He also said, “Before two to three years back, 10000 scientists in a 27km long tunnel under 300 feet of the earth spent Rs 50,000 crores, were searching for God Particles. If they were to come to this place, there was no need for searching for the God Particles.”

“I pay my salutation to Dr. Achyuta Samanta, founder of KISS and KIIT, and his team, for doing such amazing services that can’t be expressed in words. Inexplicable,” he added.

“Man proposes, God disposes. You will excuse me if I say God proposes and Achyuta performs,” he further said.

The Governor, who celebrated his birthday yesterday coincidentally, donated Rs 1 lakh to buy and distribute sweets among the students.

Dr. Samanta also expressed his gratitude to the Governor for attending the event. Besides, he also expressed his thankfulness to President of KISS and KIIT Saswati Bal, Secretary R.N.Dash and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Harekrushna Satpathy for all their supports and co-operation.
