Odisha Government hikes motor cycle allowance of ASIs, SIs and Inspectors

Bhubaneswar: In a good news for police personnel in the state, Odisha Government today hiked the ‘Motor Cycle Allowance’ for employees of the rank of Assistant Sub Inspectors (ASIs), Sub Inspectors (SIs) and Inspectors.

As per a ‘Resolution’ of the Home Department today, from now onwards the ‘Motor Cycle Allowance’ will be called as the ‘Mobility Allowance’ and paid at a hiked rate of Rs 1050 per month against the earlier figure of Rs 700 per month.

Similarly, the government also extended the facility of ‘Active Anti-Naxal Mobility Incentive’ of Rs 1050 to the rank of SIs deployed on active anti-Naxal duties.

Renaming has also been made of the ‘One Month’s Extra Salary’ provision existing for the Constables, Sepoys and Havildars. It will now be called as ‘Extra Duty Incentive’

In another provision for Constables, Sepoys and Haviladars in the state they are now entitled to get an enhanced Died Allowance of Rs 1400 per month against the earlier figure of Rs 1150. The Active Anti-Naxal Special Diet Incentive of Rs 1400 has been extended to the contractual police personnel in the rank of Constable, Sepoy and Havildar.
