Bhubaneswar: With an objective to meet the teaching staff crunch in health sector, the Odisha Government on Wednesday approved creation of 56 more teaching posts for SCB BSc Nursing College and VIMSAR College of Nursing in Sambalpur.
Similarly, seven more administrative posts were also got the nod of the government on the same day.
With the new decision, the Nursing College at SCB will get 32 teaching posts which includes one post each in the category of principal, vice-principal and professor. Whereas as four associate professors, six assistant professors or lecturers along with 19 tutors will also be inducted.
In VIMSAR, the College of Nursing will be equipped with one principal, one vice principal, one professor, three associate professors, eight assistant professors or lecturers along with 10 tutors taking the number to 24.
Notably, including teaching and administrative staffs a total of 70 posts got approval of the government yesterday.
