Odisha: Girl critical due to burn injury, Poor parents need financial help for treatment

Gajapati: In a tragic incident, a two and half year old baby girl sustained burn injury recently in this district of Odisha. About 80 percent of body has burnt. However, her poor parents don’t have sufficient means for her treatment. The incident took place in the Munisingh village in Dumal panchayat under Rayagada block in this district.

As per reports, Sunil Gamang of Jama Sahi of Munisingh village lives in the village along with his wife and daughter. He is a poor man and works as a labourer for a living. However, while everything was going on smoothly, recently his 2 and half year old daughter met an accident. When she was playing in the house somehow she came in contact with the cooking stove. Eighty percent of her body has burnt in the fire mishap. Of course, luckily her face and head portion are fine. Following the incident her father Sunil rushed her to the Ramgiri Health Centre. He had Rs 1500 then. The incident took place on December 23 at about 7.45 am in the morning.

After getting treated her daughter, Sunil had brought an ointment with him. However, after using it for few days it got finished.. Now, he does not have any money. And due to lack of medicine the girl child is struggling with pain due to the burn injury.

Again, there is no motorable road to the village while mother of the baby girl is pregnant. Sunil is struggling for the treatment of his girl child as well as wife. In this circumstance, he has said that if someone provides financial assistance to him to meet this situation he shall be grateful.
