Odisha gets allocation of Rs. 9,734 crore for development of Railway sector
Bhubaneswar: Odisha got allocation of Rs. 9,734 crore in the Union Budget for the development of the Railway Sector. Out of this Rs. 317.18 was allocated for laying new Railway tracks while Rs. 1861.14 allocated for doubling of the lines.
In total, Rs. 5063 crore was allocated for the East Coast Railway. The 289-km-long Khurda Road-Bolangir received a proposal for allocation of Rs 655 crore for 2022-23.
Deposit of Rs 475 crore proposed for Angul-Sukinda Road (98.7 km), deposit of 85 crore Haridaspur-Paradeep (82 km) were proposed in the Budget 2022-23.
