Odisha: Four Arrested For Killing Man To Acquire Hanuman Coin

Balangir: Police today arrested four persons including the mastermind of a murder case in the district earlier this month. Police said that the accused killed the victim Srikant Nanda in Puintala area to acquire Hanuman coin.

The body of Nanda who went on missing from August 8 was found on Suktel river bank on August 10.

Police said that the prime accused in the case identified as Suresh Bairi killed Nanda to acquire the mythical coin which is believed to have supernatural powers.

“ Bairi along with eight of his associates killed Nanda and later dumped his body in the river. We are also trying to nab the rest five accused involved in the crime,” said a police official.

Police said people believe that the Hanuman coins have magical powers which change the fortunes for which they spend huge amounts to procure them.
